Mario Strikers Charged - The Best Summer Wii Game

Mario Strikers Charged was one of the most anticipated Wii games this summer and this game will truly live up to any expectations you may have. I got this game on my birthday so when I first got it I did not have that much time to play. But now that I was able to sit down and play through a lot of the game I am so impressed.

Many people bash on the Wii saying how the graphics are awful. Well the next time some one says that make them watch you when you play this game. The graphics are so much better then what anyone expected. Also this game supports 480p which is considered high definition.

The controls are east to get a hang of and once you learn them you will never forget them. To pass the soccer ball you need to press the A button on your Wii Remote. To shoot you can press the B button for a quick shot or you can hold the B button to charge up and do a super strike which will be more effective. The C button uses whatever item you have to switch between the two items you are aloud to have you need to flick the nunchuck up. To slide tackle your opponents when you are on defense you have to press the D-Pad and when you are on offense and you want to juke the defenders you also press the D-Pad.

Single player mode is called basically playing through many tournaments until you win the Striker Cup. When you first start you pick your team once you pick you can not change your team so choose wisely. For my team I focused on defense and power. My captain is Donkey Kong he is very slow but is very good at scoring goals and he is exceptional at defense. After you choose your captain your aloud to pick three side kicks. My three side kicks are Hammer Bro, Birdo and Dry Bones. Hammer Bro is very good at scoring goals and defense while Dry Bones is very fast and a good offensive player. Birdo is a power player meaning she is balanced in offense and defense. Picking your team is very important if you are going to win the Striker Cup.

A very important feature of this game is the ability to play people online using Wi-Fi. The online aspect of this game is very simple and easy to use. When you hit the play now button on the main screen an opponent is found for you so this means no lobbies. Your opponents are found based on your record so the matches will be very fair. You can also add a friend but you need to know their game specific friend code. The only downside is I experienced a lot of lag when playing online so I suggest purchasing the Wii LAN adapter. Otherwise the online function of this game is awesome.

Overall this is an exceptional game and if you own a Nintendo Wii you should defiantly pick up this game. This game has a very high replay value due to the online function. This game will provide many hours of fun for the whole family.
