Market Pantry Steak & Cheese Burrito: .89 Cents but 300 Calories

Miss Fortune
Everyone is looking to save money when buying groceries; coupons can be a great way to save money but buying store brand items is another option. Target has an in-store line marketed under the Market Pantry name. Larger stores have frozen food sections in addition to non-perishable goods. That's where I came across the Steak & Cheese Burrito. Priced at .89 cents each these microwavable yummy treats are great for a late night snack but they have 300 calories per serving (one burrito) so if you are dieting or watching your carbohydrate intake you will want to save these for a cheat day.

They are a frozen food item but microwave in less than two minutes; I use the normal setting for one minute then turn the burrito and microwave it for another 45 seconds. You do have to be careful with these because the sides can split open if you microwave them for too long. The taste is better than what you get at Taco Bell from a comparable burrito and the wrap is not heavy or tough to bite through. Target backs all of their Market Pantry items with a money back guarantee, the details are listed on each and every package.

Nutritionally these aren't the greatest thing to consume in mass quantities. Each five ounce burrito is considered one serving and contains 300 calories, 10 grams of fat, 670 milligrams of sodium (almost a quarter of your recommended daily allowance), 40 grams of carbohydrates and a whopping 12 grams of protein. The only reason I purchased these was to have around for a snack when I have some left over calories and want to get a decent amount of protein from them. If you are someone that likes this type of snack but don't want to pay through the nose for it, give the Market Pantry line of burritos a try. Your satisfaction is guaranteed so you have nothing to lose!
