Market Street on Facebook lets you open and decorate your own store. As store manager you have to keep your customers happy and your shelves stocked with merchandise. A well run store will quickly soar in popularity and the money will be rolling in. This guide to Market Street has tips on how to keep your store running smoothly and leveling up quickly.

The first thing to take notice of in Market Street is your store rating. The rating determines how many customers will come to your store so it directly effects how much money you will be making. The store rating can go up to 105 points and you should strive to keep it as this level constantly.

There are a few factors that influence the store rating. Most important is available merchandise, if you run out of goods to sell your customers will leave unhappy. For every unhappy customer that leaves your store your store rating goes down by one full point. In the same way, customers will not like it if you have messy displays in your store. Make sure empty displays are cleaned right away, not only will this keep your store rating higher, but cleaning your displays is also a great way to earn experience points.

Another important part of maintaining a popular store in Market Street is decorations. All decorations you place in the game have a decoration score that adds to the overall decor points. For every new level the required decor points go up and you need to add more decorations to keep up with your customers expectations. You can check the current decor point requirements by hovering over the store rating in the top right corner. Keeping your score above the minimum requirements will make it a lot easier to maintain a popular store.

Finally, making sure you have enough registers to serve your customers is crucial to running a successful store in Market Street. The number of registers you can operate is limited by your level. The first extra register is made available on level 6. The cheapest register is 4,000 crowns so it's a good idea to leave enough money in the bank to get your second register as soon as you reach level six. The double registers will cut down on the time your customers will have to wait in line. Customers that have to wait in line too long will get irritated and leave the store. This will lose you a sale, but the hit to your store rating can be more damaging.

When you have the basics of store management down it's time to manage your stock levels. Handling stock in Market Street is the most complicated but also most important part of the game. Making sure you always have inventory on your shelves and in your supply channel can be challenging. Not only do you have to estimate how often you need to restock your shelves, you also have to figure in the delivery time for the various items.

Before you can sell anything you need displays for your items The tutorial shows you how to buy a basic display table, but it's a better idea to buy higher capacity display cases when you can. The higher capacity cases lets you stock several shipments of the same product in the same display. This way you can let the game run for longer unattended before your stock runs out.

When you start your new store it will be important to get items on your shelves quickly. That means buying cheap items with a quick delivery time. That will let you start making money quickly and also help get plenty of experience points. Try to get to at least level 4 on your first time playing the game. When you reach level 4 you will be able to have 6 display cases and you will be able to add a decent amount of stock to your store.

While ordering short term stock is important to get started, it is equally important to start the long term stock planning. Start by ordering some items that will be delivered in 15 minutes. These products will stay on the shelves longer and bring in more money. Also order some stock that will be delivered around the next time you plan to play the game. This could be stocked on your several hours to a full day in the future. These products will be available the next time you play and should keep you with stock for a long time once they are stocked on your shelves. Always keep in mind that stock will not last forever. If you don't get your stock out onto your store shelves in time it will expire on the delivery truck.

Following these basic strategies will make it easy to build a strong store in Market Street. The next step is to invite some friends and have lots of fun.
