Marketfare Deli Sandwiches: Review

As the weather improves and days grow longer and warmer, more and more families find themselves rushing around without time for a hot meal. In my case, there is a lot of time spent between tee ball practice and football camp. I went in search of affordable and delicious microwave foods as a solution to our busy summer lifestyle and dinner dilemma.

I stopped by my local Save A Lot store and browsed the frozen food aisles. Among the things I purchased were Marketfare Deli Pride . In this multiple product review I will focus on the BBQ rib and fish and cheese sandwiches available at Save A Lot stores, in an effort to help others find good microwaveable food at a great price.

I tried the Barbeque rib sandwich today, I was in the mood for meat and in a hurry. I love riblets, so this sounded like an idea sandwich for me. I like that it has Bullseye BBQ sauce on the meat, and it is a generous 5.5 ounce size. I liked that this sandwich was ready to eat within a minutes time. It has a lot of calories, 470 per sandwich, a lot of fat sodium and it is also high in carbs. While the sandwich had a decent taste and it was filling the down fall is the health aspects, in good conscious I could not make this sandwich a regular habit.

Marketfare Deli pride Sandwiches fish and cheese sandwich is another quick and easy sandwich on the go option available at Save A Lot stores. This sandwich is not as healthy as one might hope for when eating fish, but it does have a good flavor and is easy to prepare. Nutritionally it is nearly the same as the Barbeque rib sandwich, but it only contains 420 calories with tartar sauce. Fish and Cheese by Marketfare Deli Pride is a generous size and an acceptable choice for a fast meal on the go occasionally.

Both of the sandwiches I mentioned in this review retail for $1.29 in my area. I would not eat them on a regular basis but as an every now and then meal option these sandwiches are okay. I would recommend Marketfare Deli pride brand of sandwiches to others who are looking for a fast and cheap sandwich for lunches and who are not concerned with healthy eating. While they are not exactly healthy options, they do taste decent for the price.
