Mars Space Station Found

The Portland Journal continues to investigate strange objects and structures on the surface of Mars, after an overwhelming response to our last article that caused even some of the most skeptical readers to ask us questions via e-mail.

True to form our amateur astronomy sleuth has been pulling images of the Martian surface and found some questionable areas of the 'Red Planet', that if you have an inquisitive mind may begin to ring in some answers of your own.

It is not accurately known what these structures and objects are, but what they do give is a sense of something familiar such as structures hidden underground, roadways, and maybe pipelines and communications equipment '" albeit modern or ancient.

So who put them there?

Let's assume that these strange structures are indeed buildings or a base station on Mars, there are a few organizations that come to mind that could have built them - and a few that are probably a little further from home.

1. Strange lines indicate a possible road, pipeline, mining or even some kind of runway leading to the Mars Station complex.

2. Could be a checkpoint or a communications building such as a control room. The building seems to be at the end of the series of line that could be a pipeline, so could be mining facilities or even a water processing plant.

3. Almost certainly if this is a Mars base we are looking at, the triangular looking object almost center within the marked circle is a transmission tower. There is a rectangular building at 7-o-clock that looks to have some kind of open access to the lower left corner, likewise so does the structure in the 4-o-clock position.

4. This seems to be another building with a domed-roof. This roof may be protruding from an underground structure - maybe a greenhouse or science quarter.

5. This is the strangest part of the image. The object actually does look like the letter 'A' maybe this symbolizes the United States of America.

The image can also actually be seen using Google Earth (Mars) at the co-ordinates: 30°13'32.29"N, 89°25'17.69"E

NASA has continually said that they wish to send astronauts to Mars at some stage in the future, and are said to be in the advanced stages of doing so. However it could be possible that NASA or another Space Agency has already gone to the Red Planet at some time recently.

It could be that these structures are built by an ancient Martian civilization, or a more recent civilization. However you look at the images from the Red Planet they are quite intriguing and bring many questions to mind.
