Marshall Public Schools provides education to approximately 2,400 students on campuses spread throughout the city.
The district's first- through fourth-grade students attend class in buildings broken up by grade level.�
First graders go to Benton Elementary located at 467 S. Ellsworth with second graders attending Southeast Elementary located at 215 E. Mitchell. Upper elementary is divided between third grade at Eastwood Elementary, located at 313 E. Eastwood, and fourth graders attending Northwest Elementary at 411 N. Benton. Jamie Goodman is the director of elementary education.�
Public school students in fifth through eighth grade attend Bueker Middle School. Formerly the district's high school building, Bueker is located at 565 S. Odell. The district's satellite school for special needs children is also located on the BMS campus in the building which formerly served as the central administrative offices. Lance Tobin, a second generation Marshall school administrator, is Bueker's principal.�
The Marshall High School campus, which includes the district's athletic complex, tennis courts and baseball stadium, is located on a section of Miami Avenue renamed Owl Pride Drive in honor of the district. Nina Bolling is the high school principal.�
Offering vocational and technical education to young people and adults alike, the Saline County Career Center offers courses ranging from computers to cooking and automotive repair to nursing. The center is located 900 W. Vest.
The Saline County High School, located on Cherokee Drive, is an alternative school used by district's throughout the county. The school offers students at risk of dropping out a second chance to complete their high school education. Carol Smith is the school's administrator.�
Parents wanting their students to receive a faith-based education can choose from St. Peter Catholic School and Calvary Baptist School.�
St. Peter offers instruction for children in pre-school through eighth grade and is closely affiliated with St. Peter Church. Calvary Baptist School, with ties to Calvary Baptist Church, provides individualized education to students in kindergarten through twelfth grade.
