Martyr

A Poem About Sacrifice

Chesutiko
You spend your life a martyr
the victim of everyone's gain.
Fighting your way into heaven
Your life a constant strain.

Sacrificing all you have
In hope the light will shine.
upon your darkened soul
into your weary mind.

The days come and they go
and you still wanna know
you're alive..
You're a soul-less shell
Without life of its own
now deprived..
Vicariously real
what you lack is the freedom
to feel..

The heaven you search for
rests within her arms
But she can't see you dying
she's lost in her own world

Peace of mind within
appreciation for sacrifice
knowing the future
of your fate
As long as it is
what you wished for

The days come and they go
and you still wanna know
you're alive..
You're a soul-less shell
Without life of its own
now deprived..
Vicariously real
what you lack is the freedom
to feel..

Talking to the Troubled
Brings upon the burden
But you're doing all you can
to die without screaming

They all demand your favor
and you ask of them nothing
but to be treated as an equal.
she cries for change without you

After giving your life for her
you just want her to care,
so that you can feel alive again
and live without despair

The days come and they go
and you still wanna know
you're alive..
You're a soul-less shell
Without life of its own
now deprived..
Vicariously real
what you lack is the freedom
to feel..

The days come and they go
and you still wanna know
you're alive..
You're a soul-less shell
Without life of its own
now deprived..
Vicariously real
what you lack is the freedom
to feel..

When you love like a martyr
the death will be yours in
the end.
