Games that allow you to play as some of the most famous comic book heroes have long been the favorite among gamers and comic book readers. Most of these games, however, only feature a small handful of characters. But how would you like to know that there is a game with over 140 popular characters from Marvel Comics? What game am I speaking of? The action RPG... Marvel Ultimate Alliance. This game boasts the largest cast of characters in a licensed game!

In Marvel Ultimate Alliance you will put together a team of the greatest Marvel comic book heroes. Their job is to stop Dr. Doom and his huge group of villains known as the Masters of Evil. Dr. Doom has plans for world domination.

You get to choose from a starting roster of 20 heroes, which later unlocks several others. Each hero has their own unique superpowers and abilities. Some of these heroes include: Wolverine, Spiderman, Elektra, Storm, Ghost Rider, Blade, The Thing, Captain America, Thor, and more. You choose 4 of them to form your battle team and then head out to smite the evils of Dr. Doom! Some of the villains you will run into are: Mephisto, Dark Phoenix, Mandarin, M.O.D.O.K., Galactus, Loki, and more.

When choosing your heroes, pick whoever will be best to balance out your team. Each hero has unique superpowers and fighting capabilities and some are best for situations than others. Your battles will be fought in the air, underwater, and on land. Other than superpowers, attacks will involve combo moves, punches, kicks, and throws. You can also use some of the environment to take out foes. A total of 4 heroes will be on the screen. You can control one at a time and the AI takes care of the rest. However, you can switch between heroes at any time with the push of a button.

Each hero develops differently and will gain new powers as they progress. Once formed, your team will have their own unique name, icon, and vehicle. They will also need to establish their reputation...

You and your heroes have free reign with regards to what missions to take and which battles to fight. These missions take place in over 17 different locations. Many times the battles you will fight are epic moments from various comic books! While on your missions, you will interact with over 140 comic Marvel comic book characters. Be forewarned, the actions you take throughout the game will have different outcomes. The story will progress differently, along with the ending of the game!

Other than the main goal of the game, you can participate in several side missions. There are also various unlockables and secrets to find. One of these is to get new skins for your heroes. Each skin has its own unique attributes and stats. If you tire of single player, you can also play a co-op or competition mode online.

The graphics are quite nice to look at. All of the character models are distinct and very well made. The game also has nice sound effects with regards to explosions and other things of that nature. The soundtrack is engaging as well. Lastly, the controls are simple enough to figure out.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance is available on various systems including: XBOX, XBOX 360, Playstation 2, PSP, Gameboy Advanced, PC, Playstation 3 and the Nintindo Wii. Each system sports unique perks while playing. The Nintindo Wii has a unique controller providing interesting combat, the Playstation 3 and XBOX 360 both have the most superb graphics, and PC versions have the one button function to perform deadly combo attacks!

Marvel Ultimate Alliance has an ESRB rating of T for teen. This is because it features violence and mild language. A strategy guide is available for those of you who want to squeeze everything possible out of the game!

Spiderman is. I know it sounds weird but when you put everyones atrributes up spidey is the best. He is literally unbeatable if you know how to use him. When you use his Spidey sense everything slows down except you and your team so its pretty much impossible to get hit and Spidey will dodge 99% of moves that are put on him. So Spidey kicks butt.

Does anybody know who is the strongest or best character to use in the game?
