Mary-Kate Olsen and Heath Ledger: What's She Keeping Secret About His Death?

Why Doesn't Mary-Kate Olsen Want to Talk to Investigators About Heath Ledger's Death?

When Heath Ledger died on January 22, 2008 of an accidental overdose of various drugs, not only did the world lose a very talented actor, but a little girl lost her father. For all practical purposes, it seemed like an open and shut case. Another person lost their life to an overdose of drugs. Case closed... or was it?

This past week, it's come out that Mary-Kate Olsen was the first one called and notified about Heath by the person who found him, his masseuse. The masseuse called Mary-Kate repeatedly, before calling 911, and again after alerting 911 of the death. More so, after alerted about Health, Mary-Kate sent her personal bodyguard to the Ledger residence, and she didn't call 911 either.

After paramedics were called and arrived on the scene, they were unable to revive Ledger.

Each of those actions could be chalked up to someone being very upset and in a panic mode after such a situation. That's understandable, sort of. But what's making news is that federal investigators want to talk to Mary-Kate about Heath's death and she is refusing to speak with them unless she is granted immunity from prosecution. That's opened the door to a load of questions and makes us wonder just what, if anything, she has to hide.

A lot of rumors are going around, which normally would be considered just that, rumors. But her refusal to speak without immunity adds a heap of fuel to the fire, causing much speculation that she was somehow involved in Ledger's death. Were some or all of the meds found in his system (oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam and doxylamine) hers? Did she help obtain a fake prescription for any of the meds?

If she wasn't somehow involved or if the meds were not hers, why would she refuse to speak to investigators and why would she refuse to do so without immunity from prosecution?

It's hard to imagine that one of the little girls we watched grow up in front of us every week seems to be in such a pickle. I don't know what to think. But I know that until the facts come out, it will leave a lot of people wondering if she's somehow involved. And after the facts come out, it's possible more lives will be affected by whatever those facts may be.
