President Bush Loves Dogs and Cats!

PresidentialPetMuseum.com is the official Web site for the Presidential Pet Museum located in Annapolis, Maryland. It is a fun Web site to visit if you would like to learn more about our American presidents and White House pets. They have White House pet memorabilia, photos of presidents with their pets and news stories covering the relationships of presidents and their pets.

It is interesting to see that many of our presidents have close relationships with their pets. President George W. Bush loves both dogs and cats. During his term in presidency, President George W. Bush has owned three dogs named Spot, Barney and Ms. Beazley. They also have one cat named India. Spot an English Springer spaniel was actually born in the white house and would sleep in the same bedroom with President Bush and the first lady every night. Unfortunately, Spot passed away so now they just have Barney, Ms. Beazley and India. Both Barney and Ms. Beazley are sweet natured little black Scottish terriers. On the Presidential Pet Museum website they have many pictures of President Bush playing with all the dogs out on the white house lawn. There are also picture of India, the white house cat. India is a gorgeous black cat that has free run inside of the white house. To see the president interacting with his pets you can sense that he genuinely cares for them, and that is always something I will like about President Bush.

On the website at Presidential Pet Museum it also has many photos of American presidential pets of Bill Clinton, George Bush Senior, Ronald Reagan, Jimmy Carter, Gerald Ford, Richard Nixon, Lyndon B. Johnson, John F. Kennedy and Dwight D. Eisenhower. It looks like the president that had the most pets ever in the white house would be John F. Kennedy. President Kennedy had five dogs, four puppies, three ponies, one horse, two parakeets, one canary, one rabbit, two hamsters, lambs and even guinea pigs while he was in office!

The Presidential Pet Museum also has a small store to try to support their museum. In the store all the merchandise relates to presidential and animal memorabilia. The categories in the store include toys, pet supplies, books, posters, collectibles, keepsakes, clothing, pet statues, china, canine rescue, art downloads and school supplies. Some of my favorite items include white house cuff links, United States Marine Corps.Watch and the musical white house snow globe. They even offer a President George W. Bush talking action figure that says 25 unique and authentic things that he has said. Presidential Pet Museum website has interesting information and photos, would definitely recommend checking it out.
