Masala Restaurant Opens in Uptown

I don't travel to the Uptown area often, but when I do, I try to have lunch at one of their neighborhood restaurants. When my job called for me to take out some clients that had an office around Sheridan Road, I searched for a restaurant where I could take them to lunch. I came across Masala Indian & Thai Cuisine, located at 1002 West Argyle Street, so I decided to try it. It had recently opened in December, 2010, so I hadn't heard anything about it. I had the chicken marsala, which was delicious, and so was the rice. To me, rice can sometimes be bland, no matter how it's prepared, but this rice was so flavorful and nicely spiced. One of the clients that accompanied me ordered the lamb and rice, which he said was delicious.

The portions were very generous and the service was impeccable. The restaurant was very clean and all the staff members were very friendly. Our meals were only $6.95, and they offer their lunch specials everyday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. The clients loved the restaurant too, and planned on eating there on a weekly basis. Next time I'm in Uptown, I will definitely to back. The owner, Lucky was there too, and he was so friendly. You could tell that he wanted to make sure that the customers were satisfied too. It's always a plus for me when the owner cares enough to personally want to keep their patrons happy.
