In the same room
we are an eternity away.
Miles apart
we are joined by the soul.
Knowing what cannot be
I wish silently.
Knowing what must be done
I dream anyway.
In the dance of the heart
emotions change with tempo.
In the masquerade ball of life
the dancers do not change.
only the costumes.
