Massachusetts Veterans Day Events and Parades 2008

Pam Gaulin
With most of the nation's attention focused on the recent presidential election, not enough media has been devoted to upcoming Veterans day events and parades. If you're lucky enough to have the day off, spend the day honoring our nation's veterans. Massachusetts and New England residents can attend any of these free Veterans Day events and Veterans Day parades this weekend and Veterans Day, Tuesday, November 11, 2008.

Great article, as usual. Do kids have off from school today in MA? In NJ post office and banks are closed but the kidlets have school!

The television is playing "Soldier Boy" from years ago. How fiting to remember all of the men and woman who serve our country allowing us to have the freedoms we have. Being a widow of a disabled vet makes me love this country more. Sometimes I get frustrated as my husband did when people knock this Country because they can leave anytime they want to. No one keeps them here or would kill their family if they left and took up citizenship in another country. God bless America and hopefully the rest of the world with freedom as we have so we can enjoy the beauty that God has created.
