Try delicate and smooth stroke movements while applying the massage oil. Slide the palms of your hand down side of the spine until it has touched the pelvis area; then wind hands around the hips. Then you can back up your palms until they reach the shoulders side areas. Keep maintaining back contact while you move over other areas of the back.

Placing your palms on the spine area, slowly move them to the sides, starting from the lower spine. Work your way up to the shoulders, you can give kneading movements on the shoulders, particularly the muscular area, and also on the buttocks and mid-back. Doing this loosens tight muscles.
