Mastering Joomla: How to Incorporate Google Adsense onto Your Joomla Website

A Step-by-Step Tutorial on Installing Google Adsense to Earn Revenue from Your Website.

The Armchair Geek
Google AdSense is a great way to earn extra revenue from your website. AdSense is even better than banner ads because you don't have to worry about obtaining ads from clients. Google scans your website and posts relevant ads from advertisers around the world.

You can even change the color and appearance of the ads in order to match look and feel of your site. Once you sign up for Google AdSense, you will be able to copy and past HTML codes to your site. You get paid depending on how many clicks the ads on your site receives or for every one thousands appearances the ad makes on your website.

You also have the option of displaying text ads, image ads, and even video ads. You will get paid by Electronic Fund Transfer, or EFT, which wires money directly into your bank account.

Despite the obvious advantage of Google AdSense, there are a few drawbacks involved in the use of AdSense. The most annoying shortcoming is the fact that you can only get paid when you reach $100. If your website generates a small amount of traffic, this amount may take years to accrue. As a matter of fact, Google still owes people a total of more than $370 million dollars due to this large minimal payout rule.

Another disadvantage involved in using Google AdSense is the small amount paid per click. You can get paid as low as $.01 per click and if you have a low-traffic website, it could take you years to start generate a considerable amount of revenue. It is up to individual webmaster to decide whether they want to install Google AdSense on their website.
