Obviously the Reading game gives Roeder a big challenge because Leroy Lita can't play. Ideally the best situation would be to give Carl Cort his debut. However, I can't see him being fit enough. Therefore, I have given the role to Lupoli. If Lupoli does get the nod then it will be his chance to prove he has a part to play. I would also like to see Roeder, stick with the 4-5-1 because I think it benefits the players that we have especially Hoolahan. I expect Hoolahan to return after recovering from his virus.
The other change I have made is in defence, where I would like to see a recall for John Kennedy. Now, I have done that at the expense of Gary Doherty not Elliott Omozusi. The reason for that decision is I think they complement themselves better. Neither Gary Doherty nor John Kennedy has much pace, so it's important to have Omozusi in there. Bertrand hasn't been in the best of form, but I think it's important to keep faith with Ryan.
I think the Midfield is working very well for us right now. Bell has been excellent on the left side. Croft has also been very impressive on the right, where he has scored in both the Ipswich and Watford games. Sammy Clinghan has been Norwich's player of the season so far and Matty Pattison has also been doing well. All this is likely to mean a return to the bench for Russell. This formation is tailor made for Hoolahan and he has been playing very well of late.
If the game isn't going our way on Saturday the likely changes will be Cort and Russell. Roeder may also like to bring Cort on to support Lupoli. It will be good to play Cort and Lupoli together because that might be a possible partnership, when Lita goes back to Reading.
