The Reflective Shine Spray is step four in the Matrix Color Smart Protective Luminating System. The steps go from shampoo to styling. They offer strength, protection, and reflection with each step. Step one is shampoo, step two is conditioner, step three is protection before styling, and the final step is the hair spray and shine spray. Each important step ensures healthier hair for long-lasting color wear.
The reflective shine spray comes in a small, 4.2 ounce purple spray bottle. The lettering is all done in white, except the jumbled word "color" behind the name of the system. The back of the bottle shows all four steps, and which step you have. It states that it has ultra luminators to add shimmering dimension and to tame frizz without weighing your hair down. It also helps protect against the damaging and dulling effects of free radicals and UV light. To use the product, simply mist lightly over styled hair. You can also just spray it on your hair brush to help prevent static.
I do not color my hair, therefore, I'm not too worried about my color fading. I was first introduced to this spray after a new haircut. My stylist sprayed it on, then let me see. I didn't notice too much right away, I'm not much of a mirror lover. As my friend got her hair cut though, I looked again, and started playing with my new hair. It looked so shiney and non poofy. I was pretty impressed. Not completely impressed, as I believe salon mirrors are partnered with changing room mirrors, and offer unrealistic reflections. I was intrigued enough to buy it though. I took it home and added it to my collection of hair stuff I intend to use but never seem to.
It didn't take me long to realize that the shine spray actually does work. Once my hair dries, I spray a little bit over my extra poofy parts, run my fingers through it, and I'm done. It instantly gets rid of the poofiness and adds a nice shine in the process. I am glad I went ahead and bought this product. When I wear my hair down, I usually use it. It is a bit pricey at about $15 a bottle, so I use it kind of sparingly. I will continue to buy this product, and if you suffer from wild hair like I do, I would suggest you try it too.
