Matt Damon and Luciana Welcome Baby

Matt Damon and his wife, Luciana, have finally had their second child this week. Their second daughter was named Gia Zavala Damon. Matt Damon, who is now 37, is the star of the hit Jason Bourne movies. Damon and Luciana had their first daughter together in 2006, according to the International Herald Tribune.

There have been many stars to have children this year and it seems that over the past five years, there has been a baby boom amongst the stars of Hollywood. No one knows what has gotten these stars to want to have children lately but we do know that the children have been know to grace the cover of magazines like People along with their parents. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt welcomed their twin babies in 2008. This celebrity couple was only one of many that have had a baby in 2008. Unlike Matt Damon and Luciana, the Jolies have had more than just a couple of kids together and their daughter, Shiloh was also named the number one celebrity baby for the year 2007 according to Hollywood.com.

Nicole Richie was another celebrity star who had a child in 2008. Richie and Joel Madden named the baby girl Harlow Winter Kate Madden and she was born in January of this year.

This year another famous celebrity that we all know too well also had twins like Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony welcomed their bundles of joy in February of 2008.

Jessica Alba had Honor Marie this year also and just like Matt Damon and Luciana, this proud mother only had one child to show for all the pain that she probably went through while giving birth. Jessica Alba and husband Cash Warren welcomed their celebrity baby in June.

With all the celebrities having babies, it makes it hard to keep up but we must if we want to stay up with the latest news on our favorite Hollywood stars. I am like many when I say that I wonder how many more celebrity couples like Matt Damon and Luciana are going to have babies this year.
