Matt Giraud Bounces Back with 'Part-Time Lover'
Review of Matt Giraud's April 7 American Idol Preformance
You knew you were in for a treat when he walked out on stage with his hat cocked in a manner that said he was going to be all business. This is the look that we want and expect from him. Randy often states that he reminds him of Justin Timberlake and he had the perfect look to pull it off on Tuesday night.
Is Matt going to win this completion? Probably not, but he should be in the final four or five. He has a lot of talent, but his not on the same level as Danny, Kris and Adam. His tightest competition is probably from Allison and all depends if she is on that night or not. Regardless, it was great to see him get back to what he does best. He belts out a song and drives the girls in the audience nuts.
However, with as good as this performance was for him, he did hit one little hiccup towards the end. He tried to hit a high note and lost it a little bit towards the end of the note. He recovered from it rather quickly and it may have even gotten by the judges as there was no mention of it at all.
Matt is one of the better competitors and will not only survive the week, but will more than likely end up getting some kind of contract the moment he is off the show. I think this is far and away the deepest season that I have ever seen and it is a shame because he may have taken the title in another year. Kris and Adam and way too good for him to get past, but don't sleep on this kid because he is not going to go quietly.

Post a CommentNot getting the hype over Kris. He doesn't sound good to my ears. Matt is MILES ahead of him in singing and performing. Matt FTW!!!
