Maurice Jones-Drew is a great running back. He has an extreme will to accomplish whatever he sets out to do on the football field. Despite being only 5ft. 7in. tall, Jones-Drew continues to be one of the NFL's best players. He was drafted by The Jacksonville Jaguars in the second round of The NFL Draft. He strives to be the best player he can be. He wears jersey number 32 because 32 teams passed on him in the draft. He continues to prove every one of those teams wrong for not selecting him. So far this season, he has rushed for 1,001 yards on 209 carries. His longest rushing play was 80 yards. He also has 13 rushing touchdowns. Jones-Drew has also caught 41 passes for 271 yards. Below is a game-by-game breakdown of his stats.

In week one against The Colts, he rushed 21 times for 97 yards and 1 touchdown. He also had 5 receptions for 21 yards.

In week two against The Cardinals, he rushed 13 times for 66 yards. He also had 4 receptions for 17 yards.

In week three against The Texans, he rushed 23 times for 119 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also had 4 receptions for 28 yards.

In week four against The Titans, he rushed 6 times for 14 yards and 1 touchdown. He also had 3 receptions for 26 yards.

In week five against The Seahawks, he rushed 12 times for 34 yards. He also had 5 receptions for 23 yards.

In week six against The Rams, he rushed 33 times for 133 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also had 5 receptions for 45 yards.

In week seven, The Jaguars did not play. They had a bye week.

In week eight against The Titans, he rushed 8 times for 177 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also had 1 reception for -4 yards.

In week nine against The Chiefs, he rushed 29 times for 97 yards and 1 touchdown. He also had 1 reception for 3 yards.

In week ten against The Jets, he rushed 24 times for 123 and 1 touchdown. He also had 2 receptions for 22 yards.

In week eleven against The Bills, he rushed 25 times for 66 yards and 1 touchdown. He also had 4 receptions for 18 yards.

In week 12 against The 49ers, he rushed 15 times for 75 yards. He also had 5 receptions for 35 yards.

As you can clearly see Maurice Jones-Drew is doing a great job in his first season as a full time starter. His 13 rushing touchdowns leads The NFL. He is also one of only a handful of running backs to already have over 1,000 yards for the season. Not too shabby for a guy chosen in the 2nd round.
