Max Factors New Lipfinity Colour & Gloss Lipstick Combo: Review

Finally a Lipstick that Actually Stays On

Often being disappointed by false promises of lipstick companies, I had given up on wearing lipsticks all together. It was a sad thing indeed. This was all until I found Max Factor's new Lipfinity Colour & Gloss. This product renewed my faith in lipstick, and since then I can go out in public feeling confident that my lips are looking great.

This gloss offers a lipstick and gloss combo that leaves you with tantalizingly luscious lips. While it doesn't look exactly like their pictures, the actual product still looks amazing. This double-ended lipstick offers a base coat on one end and a colored gloss on the other to go on top. Each gloss and lipstick combo look fantastic together, and there are many different combinations to choose from. The base coat colors your lips; the topcoat highlights your lips and makes them shimmer. The two colors they picked for each lipstick complement each other well.

This product lasts up to 10 hours, and it usually lasts all day for me with two applications. The shimmer gloss fades a little with time, but the color still looks good. It's terribly inconvenient to have to reapply lipstick throughout the day, and with this product that's not necessary. For those that are used to normal lipsticks this is great news.

Also, the lipstick is decently light. It doesn't feel too heavy, and it's a dry lipstick. A lot of lipsticks will leave your lips wet, and they smudge easy. This lipstick dries in a few minutes of application, and the basecoat doesn't smear without force. It seems to last even through eating, drinking, and kissing. This product isn't smudge-proof though. The topcoat will smear off, but the basecoat seems pretty hard to mess up. Also, the basecoat and topcoat mix a little before they dry, so when the gloss gets wiped off it still has a blended color. Reapplication of the gloss would help to make it look best again, and to leave your lips looking shiny. If you reapply it too many times, the product will feel awkward on your lips, but like I said, too much reapplication is unnecessary.

What's best is that this product is decently affordable. You can find it in many make-up or drugstores for around twelve dollars. It's worth the money. Finally a lipstick/lipgloss combo that actually stays on throughout the day! I would highly recommend you try it for yourself!
