Maximizing Your Profits Selling Content Online

MNM
If you are thinking about selling content online, you need to read this article.

I have placed content on the following online marketplaces: Associated Content, Triond, Squidoo, Hubpages and Helium. I will share my personal experiences with you and provide you with some strategies for maximizing your earnings from each of these sites.

Associated Content

It usually only takes a couple of days or so for AC to get respond with an answer about a submission-either an offer for payment, a request that you edit and resubmit the piece or a notification that the piece has been declined by the editors.

If I get an offer, I generally accept it because I want to earn as much upfront cash as possible since even small payments add up over time. After having written only a few pieces that I enjoyed writing immensely, I've racked up payments totally over $50. Better yet, my submissions will continue to generate profits for me as they attract page views over time.

Triond

You can upload individual articles to Triond, and the content managers there will publish them either on their own network of sites or on partner sites.

You earn royalties 50% of the royalties generated by your content, and the minimum payout is only $.50.

Squidoo

I recently published a lens on Squidoo, and, although I have not earned any royalties from the site yet, I have received a lot of traffic referrals to my other content from the site. I have monetized the site using Squidoo partners such as Amazon and eBay, as well as sites I have developed affiliate relationships with.

I am excited about my profit potential with Squidoo.

Hubpages

I've published three hubs with Hubpages. So far, I've earned a bit of spare change in my Adsense account, and the products I am offering through Amazon and eBay have the potential to generate big profits.

Helium

Helium bills itself as a democratic content marketplace. I personally have earned only a few cents with the articles I've published on Helium, and I don't like the way they categorize and rank each article. I've decided that Helium is just not for me, and I don't plan to submit anything else to them.

Strategies for Maximizing Your Earnings at Online Content Marketplaces

Associated Content should most definitely be the first site you submit content to if you want to earn cash up front and be paid almost immediately. Submit it to AC for upfront payment. If your work is declined by AC, submit it to Triond next. If it is rejected by Triond, submit it to Hubpages. Be forewarned that neither Triond nor Hubpages accepts previously published work.

Build a Squidoo lens that is complementary to your area of expertise. Make sure you include links to your other content so you can generate referral pageviews.

I don't recommend submitting to Helium unless you're doing it for fun and not money.

You can make a very decent living online via doing these onlinejobs. And the best thing is that: you will be doing this work while you stay at home.

Sorry, but have to disagree with your assessment of Helium. I make as much, or more, from writing to the Helium Marketplace as I do on Associated Content.

Triond has some very BIZARRE editorial policies that I've never figured out, and frankly, never will, after having so many pieces rejected that I later sold on other venues.
