Maximum Strength Scalpicin Keeps Its Promises

A Product Review

Charlotte Kuchinsky
About this time every year, I get dry scalp. I'm not sure why. It might be the amount of time I spend out in the sun working on my lawn. It might have to do with the allergens in the air. Whatever the cause, it is the only time of the year that particular problem plagues me.

When it does I turn to Maximum Strength Scalpicin for quick and complete relief. It always works, getting rid of the itch and irritation for good.

Maximum Strength Scalpicin comes in a 1.5 fl oz bottle that retails for between $6.50 and $8.50, depending upon where it is purchased. The product can be found at most drug stores, many discount department stores that have a drug section and some food markets as well. It can also be purchased online.

Maximum Strength Scalpicin is considered the top of the line in its category for one reason only. It actually does what it promises. It relieves the itch that usually accompanies scalp irritation that might be caused by psoriasis or seborrheic dermatitis.

All Scalpicin products come in a clear liquid form that doesn't leave behind a bad smell. It doesn't result in oil scalp and it never affects hair color. In fact, Scalpicin is so gentle and safe, that it can even been used while the hair is styled.

The active ingredient in Maximum Strength Scalpicin is hydrocortisone, which is often used to treat itches and minor skin irritations. The dosage of 1% is small enough that it won't bother even the most sensitive skin, like mine. It is dermatologist test and recommended.

Using Maximum Strength Scalpicin is simple. It comes in a twist cap squeeze bottle. The medication dispenses easily and can be controlled by the bottle's nozzle. Apply the product directly to the affected area up to four times a day.

Maximum Strength Scalpicin is not meant for use on children, particularly those under the age of two. Therefore, physician approval should be obtained before using Scalpicin in that manner.

Scalpicin is made only for external use and should never be swallowed, exposed to the eyes or ears or inhaled. If the product accidentally gets into the eyes, it should be thoroughly rinsed until stinging ceases. If irritation continues, contact a physician or report to an ER facility. If this medication is swallowed, contact the local poison control center or go to the hospital for further instructions. If it is accidentally inhaled, immediately called the paramedics.

Hydrocortisone may react with certain medications so always clear its use with a physician ahead of time. Maximum Strength Scalpicin is not recommended for use in women who are pregnant or breast-feeding. It is also not advised for use in rashes caused by other illnesses such as chicken pox, measles or shingles.

Side effects of this Maximum Strength Scalpicin could include redness, irritation, rash, skin discoloration or skin dryness. More severe side effects like burning of the affected skin, difficult breathing or swelling are red but could occur in extreme instances. If so, contact a physician as quickly as possible.

If scalp irritation persists beyond one week, contact a doctor for a determination whether or not to continue its use. He or she may wish to run tests to make certain something else isn't causing the problem. In any case, never use any Scalpicin product for more than seven days straight without physician approval.

Store Maximum Strength Scalpicin at room temperature, away from heavy light, heat and freezing temperatures. Replace the product routinely; at least once per year.

Maximum Strength Scalpicin is a product of Combe Incorporated out of White Plains, New York. It is distributed throughout the U.S. and worldwide.

I like this medication because it works every time. I give it a solid 5 out of 5 stars.
