Maxxed Energy Pop: The Newest Rage in Instant Energy

Will Maxxed Replace Red Bull & RockStar?

When you think of Charms suckers you think of something that's sweet and that's about it. With this recent addition of the Maxxed Energy Pop to their product line up they have entered a whole new world of marketing. If you haven't seen this product at your local grocery store, give it time and it will surely surface. The cardboard boxes they are displayed in aren't all that attractive but they went full overdrive with the container that the Energy Pop is packed in.

Selling at a mere .50 cents each (for the time being), the Maxxed Energy Pop comes in a cardboard canister about the size of a mini energy drink. There is a metal top that needs to be removed to get to the sucker and personally I think it is a horrible waste of material to package one single sucker inside something so big. But that is the world of marketing; as long as it looks cool and attractive, you will have the customer hooked and after all, that is what attracted me to it in the first place.

Maxxed is, per the container, "infused with taurine, ginseng, guarana and B vitamins". Each Energy Pop has 90 calories, 24 grams of carbohydrates (16 grams from sugar) and provides 45% of your RDA of Niacin, 120% Vitamin B and 30% Vitamin B12 (based on a 2,000 calorie a day diet). The energy comes from the sugar in it as well as 500 mg taurine, 6,650 mcg (micrograms) of guarana, 40 mg of caffeine, and 50 mcg of inositol.

Being someone that has tried every instant energy drink and product on the market the Maxxed Energy Pop is about average. Since this is something that you suck on instead of drinking it lasts longer and provides a more even introduction of the product into the system. The taste is slightly tart but pleasing and if you are someone that loves candy this is sure to satisfy your craving for something sweet. If you do consume a lot of energy enhancers you might not get a good kick from this but if you rarely consume caffeine products you will get a nice rush from it.

One of the biggest concerns with products like this is the crash that you can experience when it starts to wear off. I didn't feel drained a few hours after I had my first one but I did have a craving for another. Considering the price of these, fifty cents, it is a lot less expensive than a can of Red Bull, RockStar, Monster or Crunk. Some other positives are that it doesn't require refrigeration, is less conspicuous when consuming and there are only 90 calories per serving. The next time you are thinking about paying upwards of two to three dollars for a can of "instant energy" you may want to scout around for Maxxed Energy Pops. You can satisfy your sweet tooth, get a nice little boost of energy and save some money in the process.
