But as we celebrate the Passion of Christ and enter the Easter Season, I am reminded of Peter and how Jesus told Peter he would deny Him three times before the cock crowed. And I am reminded that Peter's denial proved he was too scared to stand in front of the crowd and admit he was Jesus' friend. Furthermore, I am reminded that Jesus wants us to stand and say we love the Lord. And if that statement makes us less popular in the secular world, then so be it.
I am still not certain about the forum, however. I am still not convinced that Jesus is impressed by our clicking on an icon that says, "I love Jesus," especially when this action adds Him to an extensive list of the various other people and things we are fans of. But then again, what do I know? Maybe Jesus has a Facebook page, after all. And maybe He does enjoy knowing that we are not denying Him in the very place many of us spend so much of our time.
