Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation- Product Review

Great Color for Darker Skin Tones

Within the last two weeks I participated in the OCB Midwest States Natural Bodybuilding and Figure Competition and it was a great deal of fun; although it took months of preparation to get to that single moment of stepping on stage. When competing there is so much to take into consideration and often times it's the little details that really set you apart from the other competitors on the stage. Details such as poise, presentation, hair style and tanning are pertinent to making your appearance stand out. Although it is no surprise that even the best laid plans female competitors often forget to adjust the color of the foundation to match the tanner for the competition.

As a female competitor it's important for your facial make up to be a close match to your body. This can be very difficult when your body is an unnatural shade of espresso. From my last three competitions I've found that Maybelline Liquid Dream Mousse foundation comes in a color that's appropriate to match my tanner.

Retailer

I made my purchase at the local Wal-Mart after intensive studying. There were many shades made for women of color and although I'm Amerasian my skin is not as dark as other women of color. As a matter of fact, I wasn't sure which choice was going to cover my fair skin and freckles without making it look like I piled the makeup on.

Uses

Once at home I tried Maybelline's Dream Liquid Mousse immediately. I did not want to wait until the last minute before the bodybuilding event to search out another shade of foundation. With a small triangle cosmetic sponge I applied a couple of spots of foundation on my face and began to spread it out. Due to the light shade of my skin I learned that I would need to apply quite a bit more so the foundation would not be streaky. As it turned out the shade of cocoa "dark 3" was exactly what I needed. It was just a shade lighter than my tanner and was very smooth and did not feel heavy even after applying a heavier coat..

Maybelline Liquid Dream Mousse was simple to use all on its own but I added powered bronzer and a soft blush over my cheeks, as well. The color did not lessen or matte with the additional makeup and made for a glowing complexion the day of my bodybuilding event.

Price

The cost of this item was under $10 and well worth the money.
