Maybelline Express Finish Advanced Wear Nail Polish: A Review

I don't typically like to paint my finger nails because I'm a very low maintenance girl, and I don't particularly enjoying doing my nails or getting them done. I do, however, wear sandals and open toe shoes often so keeping my toe nails colored made sense. I have developed a decent collection of nail polishes over the years and one of my favorite is Maybelline's Express Finish Advanced Wear nail polish.

Maybelline Express Finish nail polish is designed to dry fast, in 60 seconds to be precise, at least that's what the bottle says. It's formulated to be anti-chip and the brush is design to control the flow of nail polish dispensing just the right amount of color so that it goes on smooth and even. The brush and nail polish formula is meant to work together to further prevent chipping and peeling. Maybelline's Express Finish nail polish comes in a variety of colors and costs about $3.50.

My Experience
Pros

I have Maybelline's Express Finish nail polish in two colors, one in Iced Mauve and the other in Sunrise Shimmer. I like the color choices that Maybelline's Express Finish nail polish comes in and that it has a thick consistency but doesn't clump or streak. Maybelline's Express Finish nail polish dries fast but I wouldn't say that it dries in 60 seconds though. I've tried touching my nails after 60 seconds and find that although the top layer of the polish is dry the middle layer is still gooey. The nail polishes go on thick so there's normally no need to do several coats to get a deep, solid color. I find that it doesn't chip easily, nor does it scratch or peel. On my toe nails Maybelline's Express Finish nail polish will lasts for several weeks before I have to redo it. On my finger nails the nail polish lasts up to a week before it starts to chip around the tips and base of the nail. The price in my opinion is affordable for just $3.50.

Cons

There's really only one thing that I can think of that Maybelline could improve on and that's the color selection. Maybelline's Express Finish nail polish comes in a variety of colors but not enough colors to my liking. There isn't enough lighter and darker non-shimmery shades to choose from.

Verdict

Maybelline's Express Finish nail polish is a good quality nail polish for an affordable price. I would buy more and would definitely recommend this brand to my friends.
