Maybelline's Shine Seduction Glossy Lip Color boasts that it will sculpt your lips precisely due to its unique sculpting tip. In addition, Maybelline states that the aqua botanicals and vitamin E will keep your lips kissably soft and smooth with its non-sticky formula. I am always skeptical with the non-sticky formula claims as most products make a similar claim and fail to deliver. The three typical end results of lip gloss seem to be sticky, slimy or cakey. I was hoping the Shine Seduction Glossy Lip Color was going to be different.
Maybelline's package directions state: Twist bottom dial to right until color appears. Twist to the left to reduce the amount of color. Starting in the middle of upper lip, apply color from center to outer edges, following contour of your mouth; repeat on bottom lip.
Upon peeling off the protective plastic cover (no bulky packaging for this line), I pulled off the cap to see a clear, plastic contoured shaped tip with small holes for the product to push through. At first, twisting the cap is awkward as it is on the bottom of the product and not on top near the tip as you would expect from the way the product appears. I twisted the cap several times until the lip gloss began to come out. Once it did, it came out very quickly (a little too quickly). Although Maybelline states you can twist the dial to the left to reduce the amount of color, this was not the case-once it was on the tip, it was there to stay until it was applied. The lip gloss appeared to be on the runny side. This was not looking promising.
My first attempt to apply Maybelline's Shine Seduction Glossy Lip Color resulted in a bit of a mess, but I came to discover that I had too much of the lip gloss on the contoured tip. When I applied it again at a later date and followed the instructions sweeping the tip from the center to the outer lines of my lips, and only using a little bit of the product, the application went much more smoothly. I was very pleased the with color and the high shine of this lip gloss and quickly realized it was indeed not sticky as Maybelline stated. It is a little on the slimy side IF you put too much of the product on.
Maybelline Shine Seduction Glossy Lip Color passed the first two tests: color, and stickiness factor. Now, I waited to see how long the product would actually last and if it would be worth using. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that this product lasted over three hours, including drinking and eating in between. In addition, Maybelline Shine Seduction Glossy Lip Color never faded, became sticky or left a residue on my lips. My lips appear a little more full with this product, probably because of the high shine and I really like the hint of color with the neutral shade. It looks very natural and a perfect lip gloss for anyone who is looking for a little color and shine without overwhelming their lips with bright color.
Overall, I really like this new lip gloss and highly recommend Maybelline Shine Seduction Glossy Lip Color. It has a wonderful shine, is not sticky or too slimy (just be sure to not use too much gloss when applying-a little goes a long way) and it lasts much longer than any other lip gloss I have ever tried, even through several cups of coffee. You will have to reapply it sometime during the day but that is to be expected with a lip gloss. I also really like how smooth my lips feel with it on. The packaging is attractive and small enough to fit into a purse or pocket; you can see the lip gloss through a small window near the top of the package; it is affordable and the shine is beautiful without being over the top. Maybelline has a winner with its Shine Seduction Glossy Lip Color and I will definitely continue using it.

- Review: Estee Lauder Pure Pops Blush on Color, Mello Yello, Lip GlossI'm not a big fan of lip gloss. It makes my lips feel greasy, sticky, and most glosses I have used usually taste like berries and vegetable oil. I don't know, it just irks me.

- Clear Shine Luminous Color Glaze by John FriedaThe serum itself is messy, it smells bad, and does not give the shiny results you would expect it to give. I find using a glosser on dry hair works the best wonders when you are looking to achieve shinier locks.
