I have used pencil eyeliners my whole life and at the end of every day, I end up looking like a raccoon. I wanted to try to find something that would stay put and give me a neat line on my eyes that didn't look smudged. A friend suggested Maybelline Ultra Liner. It's a liquid waterproof liner that will last all day.
When I went shopping for this product, I was a little shocked at the price. I'm used to paying a dollar or two for the pencil liners and this little (.25 FL OZ) bottle of liner was nearly six dollars. I decided it would be worth it if it worked well so I bought it anyway. It was a couple days later when I finally tore it from it's packaging and tried it for the first time.
What I was surprised to see is that the applicator is actually a small paintbrush type thing. It reminded me of a nail polish type brush only with many less bristles. What I was going to have to do was paint on my eyeliner. I knew this wasn't going to be easy. Of course, I smudged it several times, but eventually I got it right and was very pleased with the results. I had my perfect line just like I wanted.
The real test was how the Maybelline Ultra Liner looked at the end of the day. It did last as my friend had told me, the only thing being was that it was dried up and a few flakes had made it just below my eye. It wasn't a big deal though. A quick sweep with my hand and they were gone and the line itself still looked fine. In fact, it looked just like it had when I first applied it. This, of course, made me happy.
The only complaint I really have with this product is the ease in using it. It's a little difficult to get the line right which means repeated attempts which means wasted product. If you have a really steady hand, you will benefit from this product more than I as steady hands are not something I was blessed with. I never was good at the game "Operation."
All in all, the Maybelline Ultra Liner is a great product. It's a little pricey, but if you can afford to pay six dollars for eye liner, this is a great product to use. It lasts all day and there's no fear now of looking like a raccoon. I definitely recommend.
