MC Restaurant & Lounge Opens in Wicker Park

New dining establishment MC Restaurant & Lounge, located at 1401 North Ashland Avenue in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood, is delighting diners with its authentic Vietnamese fare such as Papaya Salad with shrimp. Restaurant owner, Julie Mai, who years ago owned Andersonville's Julie Mai Bistro, says that her current menu is select since her experience has afforded her the knowledge of which dishes are popular. Says Mai, "I have a smaller menu, but better." In addition to the Papaya Salad, diners can enjoy the Spring Rolls, Pho and Basil Chicken.

The Lemongrass Chicken and various noodle dishes are also included on the menu and continue to be popular selections. In addition, Mai enjoys cooking with wine when preparing certain recipes. The fare is Vietnamese infused with a touch of French style cooking. The restaurant has seating for approximately 100 people and menu items are reasonably priced with the highest priced item being under 13 dollars.
