So anyway, this morning the news is about world's economy and how it is down. The only question I have is are we going to send $700 billion dollars to all those countries to give to their banks and businesses? I am sure these countries are looking at us and laughing. If they aren't right now they probably were a week or so ago or they will be after they go through their crisis stage.
What makes the mess with the economy so funny is my wife predicted the world's economy would fail if we did this bail out plan. Why? She seems to think too many people including governments are using American money and it wouldn't be worth anything if the US did the bail out using money it doesn't really have. The other reason had something to do with everything being tied together financially. She doesn't feel it will be like this forever, the government just needs to let the economy do its thing because all our government did was to make the economy fall quicker in other markets. She's probably not right about her reasoning but something certainly happened.
Another headline that caught my attention this morning was McCain says Bush policy on economy is wrong by Mike Glover. Who is he kidding? Isn't he a Republican? Aren't they supposed to "stick together"? I see why he doesn't agree with Bush's plan. So far it hasn't done anything but make the debt too high to count. Of course reading the article, here we go again. More for the wealthy and less for the poor is McCain's plan. Yep he's Republican. Although jobs are supposed to increase by his plan. But let's not forget Obama. He's democratic. He's spending money the government doesn't have too. Of course that just means we will all be a little poorer.
What I would like to see is both parties fill out a financial statement for the United States. Maybe each party could tell us what money will go for what and what money will be income. That's what I want to see is a written plan. They can say what they want but with out the nitty gritty to point out exact numbers or even estimates what is said doesn't mean a thing. I can tell you I am going to pay cash for a house next year. You might even believe me. Then if you are the realtor showing me a house you better ask me, where the money is coming from or how I am going to get it if I don't have it.
Luckily I am not running for President promising a brighter future that I can't deliver.
