McCain: Moron or Menace?

Is McCain a malicious politician or a bumbling idiot?

Menace?

McCain voted against the Civil Rights Act and against a national holiday commemorating Martin Luther King.
McCain voted repeatedly in support of Apartheid in South Africa.
McCain votes consistently in favor of all things pro-Israel, against American national interests and interests of global security.
McCain voted for the Iraq war.
McCain voted in favor of the Kyle-Lieberman bill so he can bomb, bomb, bomb Iran for Israel.

Moron?

McCain went on a national talk show and repeated the fabrication about two mentally handicapped suicide bombers who were detonated by remote by some nefarious, mysterious group of 'Muslim terrorists'.

Just one problem: it never happened. It's a completely manufactured LIE, like the WMDs.

It's a lie in a long line of lies and propaganda being disseminated by the American government to justify its continued aggression in Iraq and to promote its next war against Iran.

The question becomes: did McCain know it was a lie and he repeated it anyway? This makes him a malignant menace.

Or, was McCain blindly, unconsciously and ignorantly repeating a lie without knowing it was a lie? That makes him a moron.

On this same talk show, McCain also claims that 'everyone supports' American military bases around the world, again what the hell is he talking about? I've lived in nations where US military installations are based and I've seen the hatred towards them from the people of those nations; I've witnessed the physical and verbal assaults against American soldiers, the daily harassment, the weekly protest marches demanding the expulsion of all American military presence.

Finally, Bin Laden told America that one of the three reasons he attacked you on 9/11 is because of American military bases in Saudi Arabia; Israel and Iraq being the other two reasons.

So, once again this begs the question: does McCain know all of this and is intentionally lying or is he so unbelievably ignorant that he is unaware of the hostility towards America's military presence in other people's lands?

I've too often found myself asking the same questions about the war criminal George Bush, is he really that stupid or is he so malignantly manipulative that he lies with such ease?

Several years later, I still don't have a clear answer to those questions about Bush which is what makes him so dangerous.

The fact that I'm left asking the exact same questions about McCain leads me to believe that the answers will be the same: moron or menace, McCain is a threat to global security.

Some good questions here. McCain, as an elected representative, was voting his constituents will, in regards to MLK Holiday. Hard to know if he knew what was what with the suicide bombers, but women have been sent out as suicide bombers, a relative new situation until recently. Intelligence is often hard to vett. In the case of WMD, this "LIE" apparently was the result of Saddam's own subtrafuge. His belief seemed to be that if he had WMD he would be less likely to be attacked, so he created the illusion of such. He was able to convince the intelligence agencies, such as MI6 and the CIA, that he had them. Ironically, it produced an opposite result. This "LIE" was convincing as far back as the 1990's. Although he did use poison gas on the Kurds, which is considered a WMD.

America's military presence around the world is hated by many countries; however, it has also saved many nations billions of dollars, as they didn't have to mount defenses against what these own countries perceived as enemies, such as the former Soviet Union, ,which did gobble up territory during its existence. If I could vote my way I'd have all the bases overseas closed and soldiers brought home. Just as many in Europe don't care about the United States (except as an object of hate), I really don't care what happens to Europe. However, those same complainers however have realized a nice profit off of the presence of the bases.
