If you think you want McCain or Obama change, first you need to understand one very important thing and that is the clique that exists in Washington D.C. That clique is called, our politicians. You might think one side or the other is going to do something important, but get one thing straight, they are both a highway leading in the same direction, and changing lanes is not going to change your destination. You want change? The only way we as a people are going to institute change is if we change our voting strategies. Both leading opponents are there because they had the economic support of banks or industries to get where they are, and when they get in office, whichever one gets in office, they are going to be influenced by those who financially backed them and got them where they are. You want change, vote for none of the above. Vote for either one, and we are going to continue on the road to economic collapse.
Do you really want McCain or Obama change? The only way we can institute change is to get someone in office who isn't a puppet for big industry, and the only way to do that is to look at the sidelines and vote for someone whom big industry did not support. Why did big industry not support some of those contestants? Because they do not favor the big industry.
The only way to save our economy is to repeal NAFTA, charge import tax to protect the American dollar again, and this will force those big industries who went across the border for cheaper labor, to move their business back to America, and hire Americans once again. Once the American worker has jobs, mortgage payments will be made, banks will become liquid once again, and then and only then will be on a road that is at least pointing back in the direction our founding fathers pointed us. Our founding fathers created a great nation, but the money mongering whores in D.C. have made it about them, not about the American People. Voting for McCain or Obama isn't going to change anything for the good.
McCain or Obama Change? Watching TV I have seen very few McCain commercials, but I do see a lot of Obama commercials, and what are they like? They are nothing more than mudslinging. Where is the change in that? It used to be that candidates would actually appeal to our intelligence, now all they do is slam the opponent, so what do they stand for? I don't want anyone who the best they can do to show themselves worthy is to sling mud. In fact, the very act of slinging mud should say something about the type of individual they are. I say change, by voting none of the above.
I saw one candidate who has a firm understanding of what our nation was, was intended to be, and where we are now and what it will take to get us back, and that was Ron Paul. He knows big government does not benefit the people. He knows American freedoms and rights should be top priority. He knows Americans are industrious and need work, and if the American worker is employed, our economy can recover.
However, we are Americans, and we have been fed this line that the two parties are different and a new president from the individual parties popularity contests are going to make some big impact, but the truth is, either one of the current candidates will only lead us in one direction, and that is the direction we are already traveling. So, do we simply change lanes? Or do we do a U turn and get our nation back on the right road? Alas... I fear the American people just don't get it, and the implemented destruction of our economy will continue on as the status quo. Hope your ready for a bright future.... or not.

Post a CommentToo bad the funding for a third party isn't available. At this point, the main reason you only see Obama commercials is that he's outspending McCain 2 to 1. Even though he may have less than 100% of his commercials negative, even at 90% negative, he's got more hours of mudslinging that Big John. The entire campaign by the Republicans should have focused on platform and problems with the other party's platform (I don't believe that's mudslinging.) From my perspective, there's a big difference that needs to be explained more thoroughly. Thanks for a great article. We need to clean out congress, the ones that make monitary policy. Maybe that's the best place to start the third party candidates.
Good points here! What people are forgetting is that - isn't every election really about change in one way or another? And, re: the mudslinging - when someone doesn't really have a leg to stand on, they have no choice but to make their opponent look bad!!!
It ain't never gonna change! I've given up hope. People have bought into this two party system and there is no money to finace someone else. It ain't never gonna change.
Great write-up Daniel. At this point in the game, a third party candidate is obviously not an option. I don't agree with McCain on everything, but I will take my chances and vote for him because the alternative is much worse.
