Skirting issues to protect corps entwined

Cowboy and cowgirl state their eco case
Lasso energy destroy native space
Drill oil in hockey mom's state
Makin' nature lovers irate
Short-term goals all that matter what a disgrace

Consumer demands are wagin' attacks
Using natural resources to the max
Less productive green talkin'
To support drillers hawkin'
Alaska's coastal plains protection lax

But on relationships they are strict
Both pious leaders I can predict
Will try to impart
Religion on heart
And a same sex marriage ban they'll inflict

Because in their church it's a sin
That's where this story should begin
Pregnant children must marry
But not Barry and Larry
Such a union would cause them chagrin

It's no secret they're evangelical
Opposing Roe v. Wade good example
Stomping our civil liberties
Religious crowd is whom they please
While limiting pro-choice law substantially

Country first McCain Palin proclaim
But they're just rebels who want more fame
Wagin' wars, trashin' terrain
Washin' freedom down the drain
For those of us not part of the ol' game

So get out there cast your Obama vote
November 4th important day to note
He will govern with brains and grace
And old systems he will replace
