McClay Gardens Subdivision, Real Estate, Slide Show
Neighborhood Offers Convenient Locale, but Not Much More
The homes on McClay Gardens Drive are predominantly split level homes with sloped lots. The road is a huge hill and offers no sidewalks. McClay Village Drive is set up in a similar fashion. However, this street does offer sidewalks and an additional horseshoe road off the main street. The horseshoe houses 2 cul-de-sacs with 3 or 4 homes in each.
In January of 2010, a single home in the subdivision was listed for $179,900. The homes are average in size with no exceptional amenities. Some of the selling points of this subdivision would be it's great location to shopping, easy access to main roads, and the school district the home is in. While McClay Gardens lacks many favorable features within the community other than the conveniences provided by the location, it's placement provides access to one of the counties best parks in St. Peters, Missouri, Laurel Park.
The 40-Acre family facility is located just across McClay Road in the back of the McClay Valley Subdivision. The park offers a variety of activities for families of all parameters. Laurel Park has the largest public pool in St. Peters, Missouri in addition to multiple sports fields, basketball, roller hockey and volleyball courts, two huge lakes, playground, picnic area, and a multipurpose trail that surrounds the entire facility.
Just down the street from the subdivision at the intersection of Jungerman and McClay is a Quick Trip that provides the cheapest fuel in St. Peters/St. Charles (aside from paying cash at Dirt Cheap on 94). A Walgreen's Drug Store sits on the corner just across form that. And about 2 miles down Jungerman at Highway 94 is a Wal-Mart Super Center, Schnucks, Kohl's department store and multiple fast food restaurants.
