Which Will You Choose?

Which is better? What will you choose? There are many factors people take into consideration before venturing out and grabbing their favorite cup of joe. Not only does great taste draw people back every time, sometimes there are other reasons why some will go to one place of business as opposed to the other. Whether it be price, convenience, or the restaurant's own individual options and availability, all of these are taken into consideration before many decide which one to choose.

As time goes by, people modify their lives and they look for more conveniences in their life and different ways to accommodate their ever changing lifestyles. Having children, buying a house or even changing jobs can change the way we all buy our favorite morning coffees and how often.

It used to be so convenient to grab a tall decaf at Starbuck's every morning before arriving at work. Now with having to drop your little one off at daycare, driving through McDonald's and ordering juice and fruit for your 3 year old and a premium coffee for yourself on the go from McDonald's is your new method of early rise and serve. Not to mention you are on a tighter budget than before and McDonald's is much cheaper.

Everyone knows and loves Starbuck's Coffee. Just about every major city and venue has one, and people flock by the thousands to the little coffeehouse or the famous corner kiosk to get their "drink on".

Not only does Starbucks have award winning great tasting coffee, many of their coffee shops offer wi -fi connections also, but typically it isn't free. In many cities Starbuck's coffeehouses will charge a nominal fee you if you want to connect to their wireless service.

Starbucks offers an array of flavored coffees, specialty drinks and tasty treats. Although you can't get a full meal at Starbucks, you can definitely meet your snacking and sweet tooth needs with the selection they offer to their customers.

Maybe you love the taste of Gourmet Coffee but have no Starbucks in your town? Many are heading to their nearest McDonald's to grab the taste of rich tasting coffee shop coffee but at McDonald's low prices.

McDonald's has recently introduced their new and improved Gourmet Coffee blend in an attempt to compete with Starbucks in a way to offer savings and convenience to their customers. McDonald's seemingly wishes to remain supreme in continuing to tower and rule over all others in the fast food industry.

Whether it be a Starbucks or a McDonald's, the smell is usually what will draw you in first. Maybe you are just walking past or pulling up to the drive-thru to get some breakfast, the pungent aroma of gourmet coffee will surely be calling your name. So which one will you choose, McDonald's or Starbucks?

Many moms are hesitant about ordering anything from McDonald's for themselves when they drive through to grab a kids meal for their children. There could be several reasons for this. One being they are trying to watch their waistline or quite simply because they feel they have outgrown McDonald's and that the menu is geared more towards the younger generation. Now moms can sit and enjoy the taste of their favorite coffee drinks, surf the web and let the children eat and play at the same time. Can you do this at Starbucks?

With the past introduction of the McCafe gourmet coffee line from McDonald's, there are several choices that you have to find a roast that is right for you, and the best thing is that McDonald's makes it made to order. By the recent addition of the Premium Gourmet Coffee blend, the big and bold taste you love of Starbuck's coffee, is now within reach and convenience at your local McDonald's.

While many people are comparing the McDonald's new gourmet coffee line to that of Starbucks, I have tried both and will try to give you a fair run down of what I felt that you get as far as taste, value and most of all convenience.

Let's talk Starbucks, while the coffee itself at starbucks tends to be a bit stronger and more full flavored than McDonald's, the price tends to be significantly higher, on average ranging more than $1.50 per cup. That can be disheartening if you are trying to stick to a budget.

Starbucks also has high end coffee makers and espresso machines to perfect and preserve their coffee. This is what many coffee connoisseurs are used to seeing and hearing when they walk into a Starbucks.

Starbucks carries more high end snacks and treats such as muffins, scones and biscotti's and in some places are beginning to offer light breakfasts meals. At this time McDonald's does not carry scones and gourmet eateries.

Starbucks tends to stick to their own core line of having gourmet coffee and specialty drinks.

Starbucks also sells their own coffee and equipment for you to brew up at home.

Many people enjoy the small cozy atmosphere of Starbucks and are only interested in coffee and not food, this is usually the same crowd that Starbucks tends to attract over and over. Many people love the distinct taste of their coffee also and refuse to buy their java anywhere else.

Starbucks does not appear to be very kid friendly. At this time they do not offer a kids menu of any kind, and their kiosk or coffee shops do not accommodate mothers with small children. They tend to advertise more towards the college age to working class classifications of consumers.

Now, lets talk McDonald's.

McDonald's new Gourmet Premium Roast, is less pricey than Starbucks coffee and not quite as strong flavored. But the overall quality is good and I would say quite comparable to Starbucks.

McDonald's offers the convenience of a large variety of foods and breakfast meals to accompany the coffee. Including the new McSkillet Burrito. The coffee and McSkillet Burrito taste great together.

Many McDonald's restaurants offer free Wi-Fi, so you can hook up your laptop and check your stocks and the weather while it won't cost you a thing.

McDonald's generally offers free newspapers, you will not find this at your local starbucks. Many people love to read the Wall Street Journal or their local newspaper while enjoying their morning coffee.

McDonald's is kid friendly. You will be able to enjoy your premium roast coffee while the kids can eat one of the scrumptious breakfast meal options that McDonald's offers. In some restaurants they even have kid play areas so they can play safely while you take a relaxing break.

McDonald's is also incorporating an Espresso Machine and Barista maker to be able flaunt to customers that they really mean business when it comes to brewing up the best cup of joe. This is also being used as an advertising tactic to draw customers in to fill up on their coffee and not their competitors.

In my opinion I feel that both coffees rank very well in overall taste and quality. McDonald's is my overall choice due to the fact it is cheaper, more convenient for me to pick up in the morning, as there is always a McDonald's on either side of town. McDonald's also implements coupons periodically, so that is an added savings for me to stick to. The other benefit to going to McDonald's as opposed to Starbucks is that I can take my kids with me and they can order a meal if I only want coffee.

Although I must say that Starbucks may be your final selection if you don't want to hear, "Do you want fries with that?"
