McDonald's Strawberry Lemonade and Rolo McFlurry: The Taste Experience

McDonald's has been creating new drinks and treats in their McDonald's McCafe line. Some of them have been quite tasty and just as good as going to the coffee shop such as their frappe, fruit smoothies and hot mocha. They continue their quest to acquire more customers by creating new products that draw our attention. A couple of the latest new tastes of McDonald'ss are the strawberry lemonade and the Rolo Mcflurry.

Upon ordering the strawberry lemonade on a sweltering hot day, it is a sweet and sour drink that will cool you off within moments. The strawberry lemonade will make you pucker, yet your sweet tooth will crave the strawberry taste. While it may not be something that you would drink with one of their hamburger, chicken or fish meals, it is okay to include with a light salad. This sweet and sour drink is also something that you will not want to drink quickly, as it can cause those "brain freezes" that you can get from eating ice cream too fast. But you will want to consume it before all of the frozen ice melts, as the after-taste of a less cool strawberry lemonade is nothing to be desired. The price of the McDonald's strawberry lemonade is also affordable coming in at just under $2. It's a drink that you can take on the run on your lunch break at work, or a drink that you can enjoy on your drive home.

If you are a fan of the McDonald's Mcflurries, then you might have been curious about the new Rolo McFlurry. While there aren't many other choices of flavors to order (Oreo, Reese's Peanut Butter Cup and M&M), it was nice to see another flavor addition. Although, you must have one very extreme sweet tooth if you want to relax and enjoy the Rolo McFlurry. You also must be a very big fan of Rolo candy and love a lot of caramel! While the ice cream is sweet and creamy as usual, the addition of the extra chocolate and caramel make the treat extra sweet-a bit too sweet for my liking. Although, young children who are in love with candy will probably love the extra sugar. If you already have a favorite McFlurry flavor, you might want to stick with it, as this one may not take its place. I myself am in love with the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup McFlurry, and the Rolo one wasn't what I had hoped for.

So if you are looking to be cooled off for a sweet treat and you want something quick and affordable, you can drive into your nearest McDonald's to give the strawberry lemonade or new Rolo McFlurry a try. Then you can perform your own special taste test and decide if it will become a new personal favorite.
