I have been there on many occasions, from birthday parties to quiet dinners with my kids (well, as quiet as dinner ever gets with my kids). The service and food is consistently good with plenty of variety, you never have to choose the same thing twice.
There is a different lunch special daily and drink and food specials every weekend that coincide with whatever sport is in season. They have a nice kids menu featuring six different choices for just $5.50. My daughter is ten and the kids meal is more than enough for her.
They have excellent Buffalo wings, homemade soups and huge salads. The Buffalo Chicken Salad I had this weekend was enough for two, in fact I split it with a friend and we had trouble finishing it. One of the best features of their salads is you can add just about anything and make it a meal, fish, scallops, shrimp, chicken and steak are all add-ons to any of their salads.
Their menu also boasts excellent sandwiches, pasta and entrees including prime rib, steaks, ribs and seafood. I have had several of the seafood choices, the best is by far the fish and chips or the shrimp scampi, delicious and enough for two.
McKenna's prices are as good as or better than other local restaurants, with the portion sizes being so large, two can truly eat for the price of one, or you can order a half a salad or entrée at half the cost.
McKenna's is a good place for a crowd or a family dinner, good food, prices and service.
