Me and that Lady !

SAIKAT KUMAR DUTTA
When I get any illness, she cuts fresh fruits with a sharp knife,
for my eternal happiness even she is ready to sacrifice her life.

When I am in a problem, her face always remain dry and pale,
if she finds a danger in front of me, she gives me a warning bell.

For my betterment of health, she always cooks nutritious food,
if I am anxious for any reason, she tries to bring my fresh mood.

She never told me anything that may bring my painful eye tear,
in all of my joyful and sorrowful days I find her to my very near.

She smartly removes all of my heart-breaking bad frustrations,
she helps me to take any decision after ending my hesitations.

She is polite, active and does her jobs so carefully and perfectly,
I can say that she is my most favorite lady, so truly and honestly.

She always tries her best to send me on my way of real success,
our choice of living is same, which has an identical postal address.

Do you know what is the relationship between me with her ? ? ?
Ohhhh ! I am her one and only son and she is my lovely mother.

I also didn't think it was your mother you were talking about. Great poem though. The hairs on the back of my neck raised as I read your poem.

I wasn't expecting it to be your mother! I love twists like that! So perfectly appropriate, yet unexpected...

Touches my heart, with my own memories of my mother.

Lucky mother. Give her a copy framed for Mother's Day if you haven't already (even if they don't celebrate this in India). She deserves a special gift for being such a special mom.

Oh how sweet! I thought as Eric did that it was Jolly you were taking about. What a beautiful tribute to your mother. I'm sure she is proud to have you as her son.
