Similar to the Guitar riffs introduced at the beginning of The Eagles' "Life In The Fast Lane", Mean Street Riders are gaining listeners' attention with their influential sounds behind songs such as "High On The Hog". Throughout the up-beat Country/Rock tune, the band sing of trust through great and close friendships with the lyrics, "...It's all about the time we spent and those we have to thank/Thank all those good guys and gals for being such good friends/Baby that's what it's all about til' the bitter end.../" Since forming Mean Street Riders in 2008, band members Shannon Wallace, Dowlin Mayfield, Eric Lampley, Greg Torres, Kevin LaCour, Blair Colson, and Tommy Dawson have developed this close friendship with common interests in Motorcycles and love for the "open road". After becoming friends during a trip along the Georgia/North Carolina border on US Highway 129's "The Dragon", considered one of the World's most dangerous and challenging roads, the bikers decided to join forces in the creation of their musical group Mean Street Riders.
With each musician contributing to the lyrics, the band members were able to incorporate their own thoughts/ideas into the meanings behind each song. Though the majority of their music features lyrics pertaining to freedom and the "American Dream", the members of Mean Street Riders sing of peace and calmness on the track "I've Had A Good Ride". The smooth Rock tune features descriptive lyrics recalling the happier moments in life with the lyrics, "...It's ain't all about if you get there fast/Sometimes just take it slow, make the moments last/Take it all in/Again and again.../" The song also details the desired reunion for the bikers as they gather to attend the Sturgis Rally, while referring to the sun warming up the "streets in Black Hills". Through their music, Mean Street Riders are able to inspire listeners to "enjoy the ride" and live with no regret.
Set to release their debut CD during Summer 2011, the members of Mean Street Riders are already becoming a household name with special appearances across the Country. In 2011, EOS Music and Applied Media Technologies Corp chose four of Mean Street Riders' songs to license and market throughout major businesses around the Country. With many U.S. Radio Stations gaining interest in the band, Mean Street Riders are becoming a rising talent for 2011.
