Meandering

Or the Day My Logic Left Me

Jolynne M Hudnell
It's funny, I was never all-or-nothing except for my insistence on living by logic over feeling. My feelings were only ever exposed in verse. Rather than make me strong, it weakened me as feelings can only be contained for so long before they need to be expressed. I think this hurt more than if I had allowed myself to have a natural balance in the first place.

Jaded past switched emphasis
Onto implicit logic and reason
Newly enchanted by one
A surreal quintessence
That could not be contained
Held briefly to a moment
Alighted then with my heart
Noetic whispers challenge in vain

Me and Dering were trying to understand this article, but Dering keeps wandering off. Smiles.

I believe this is so full of truth. It is good to get things out or they will burst open under pressure.
