Medallion White Corn Tortilla Chips - Product Review

Sophie Adams
This product is not the healthiest product on the market but what tortilla chips are? These chips are usually used at parties for dipping or in my case cooking with them. I don't normally purchase tortilla chips however I had a casserole recipe that called for these. I went shopping at Wal Mart and looked for the least expensive tortilla chips I could find. Considering they weren't the main ingredients in my casserole, I didn't think the taste or crispiness mattered much. I found a bag of White Corn Tortilla Chips made by Medallion. The one I purchased is the "Party Size Pounder". The front notates there are 0 grams Trans Fat. I wanted something to snack on so I opened up the bag! Good thing I did (or is it?). These are addicting. They are crispy and light. They are well salted but beware and careful with how much you eat.

These chips are great for dipping, as they are strong enough and shaped for holding salsa! I was too lazy to get the salsa out so I just snacked on the tortilla chips. The bag I purchased is a 16 oz (1 lb) bag and here is some of the nutritional information listed on the back of the bag.

Serving Size is about 8 chips or 1 oz

Per serving, there are:

Saturated Fat 1g

Trans Fat 0g

The company is based in Arizona and it encourages you to write them comments about their product by prominently displaying their address on the back. For the low price of $1.28 for this large bag, and for the flavor, these chips are a great purchase. There is a recipe on the back for tortilla soup that looks mighty tasty! If I have to purchase these items again whether it's for dipping at a party or making a casserole, I'll always look for this brand.

After nearly eating the entire bag, my lips are puckered up and I'm too full to eat dinner. Thanks Medallion for such a yummy product and no thanks to myself for not having the motivation to stop eating them. It's now a party size half pounder! I must also note that my toy poodle likes them too! I recommend this product to anyone who is shopping on a budget or looking for something tasty.

Medallion brand is carried by Walmart. I buy the corn chips, 10oz bag for 99 cents and they taste exactly like Fritos. And not that is makes any difference, but AR = Arkansas NOT Arizona.

I just bought a bag of these chips. I am so disapointed. They are so salty, nobody in my family could eat them. I think that it is funny that as I writing this comment, I look below and see that the previous commenter commented on how salty they are. DO NOT WAISTE YOUR MONEY!!!!
