Seems the passing of DADT was a big win. For whom, might I ask? Gay people who can now be shot, blown up, maimed and all other manner of decidedly not metrosexual things? Why would gay men want to join the military? Wouldn't that be too much conformity? Everyone knows, at least according to the reality shows, that gay men have awesome fashion sense. They'd never be caught dead in olive drab or camo for that matter, and that beret or beanie army troopers wear is so yesterday. Besides, it's not a "Raspberry Beret," so Prince, or Symbol or whatever he has made himself over to be now, will be mad. Gasp!
The omnibus bill that had a baziilion dollars in deficit spending failed though, so Barry missed that chance to drive us farther into debt. That wasn't a win...guess that's why it's never mentioned. And the Dream Act was another loss for Barry too. So, what else did he win, if anything, to be the grand prize winner of the lame duck? Oh, that's right! They did pass a continuing resolution to keep government solvent, sort of anyway, until March or so, but I'm not sure that was a win for Barry, but the media thinks so, and we know they are dead pan honest at all times, right?
Oooopppps...I almost forgot...they did pass the law to not allow the Bush Tax Cuts to sunset as they were scheduled to do at midnight on the 31st. This one confuses me though.
First, Democrats and their media butt lickers kept calling it the Obama Tax Cut, which confused my limited intelligence for sure. And that moniker was doubly odd considering Barry ran on and had sworn about a million times since that he wanted the Bush cuts to sunset, so how, if a law was passed to not sunset them, was that a win for Barry? See how I might be confused by all this erudite stuff? Man them big thinkers and their media spinners really flummox me.
The way they frame it, it's as if Obama was for keeping the Bush Tax Cuts all along, and in the Congress voting to extend them for two more years, somehow it was a win for Barry, Barry, quite contrary. Man I must be getting old, cause I just don't see it.
It would seem, based entirely upon how leftist media spun it, Obama doing a John Kerry and being against the extension before he was for it, was the winner. How again? So Barry could be the sworn enemy of the Bush cuts, being the cause of all the nation's ills that helped bring on the recession according to Barry himself, as he said it thousands of times, but an eleventh hour change of heart equates to a win of some grand Obama stratagem? Don't make me laugh any more than usual Barry.
Only a sycophant media following along in the wake of his pungent perfume could see this event in this light and only the most ballsy and arrogant of media would try to make this a win for Obama, who only switched teams when he finally decided the American people meant business. Obama knew the Bush cuts had better live on or it would be his and Democrat's asses, and sooner rather than later.
So how again was the extension of the Bush cuts a win for Obama? Oh, that's right...he's fighting for us. You go Barry. You get 'em man. See y'all? Barry won the lame duck. Now the lame duck and Barry the ruptured duck can hold hands and skip off down the Yellow Brick Road together. I swear, I feel like I'm having a flashback. It's like surreal man. Cool!

Post a CommentLOL @ Lloyd: "Shouldn't it be mobility challenged migratory water fowl?" - Whippy, why didn't you think of that?!? Cheers for the New Year's :)
The prize Barry won for winning the lame duck was a book about Ronald Reagan that he's supposedly reading while on vacation in Hawaii. BTW ... isn't it un-PC to say lame duck? Shouldn't it be mobility challenged migratory water fowl?
