Let's face it as adults; sex is not just about procreation or the act of being with a loved one. Sex carries many benefits that promote good health. Taking out the aspects of putting one in a good mood and supporting positive mental health, sex can provide you with surprising benefits that actually increase good health.

Immunity Boost: Immunoglubin A (IgA) is an antibody found in the body that helps protect us from infections and the common cold. Having sex at least once a week will help raise the levels of immunoglubin A. A study was performed by the Wilkes University where students reporting the frequency of their sexual encounters were found to have IgA in their saliva.

Prostate Cancer: According to the Journal of American Medical Associate who reports that "high ejaculation frequency was related to decreased risk of total prostate cancer." This is also a plus to a more active sex life as the more a male ejaculates the lesser the chances of prostate cancer.

Weight Loss: let's face it any action helps burn calories. Sex is a form of exercise which can aid in burning calories which can promote a healthier life style while promoting weight loss.

Cardiovascular Health: According to a stupid that was published in the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health sex was found to reduce the risk of heart attacks in men that have sex more than two times a week by half compared to men who had sex less than one time per month.

Pain Reducer: While many may not feel like having sex during times of pain it may actually be beneficial. During sex the hormone oxytocin is produced, which increases endorphins which then decreases pain levels. So the next time you have a headache, there may be some relief in the air.

Many people do not realize that sex can affect many different aspects of one's life. While you benefit from the relationship aspect in a normal healthy sex life you can also benefit from the medical aspects that sex can help impact. If your physically fit and sex can be a normal routine in your life you can help diminish certain health problems or lessen the chances of certain types of disorders.
