It is only recently that the government stepped in to take care of people who could not take care of themselves. Savings and family was once depended on for hard times. Now people throw away their family and spend their paychecks like a drunken sailor. They know that they have Uncle Sam to depend on if they become disabled or need medical attention. But the party will soon be over because Uncle Sam also has to survive and he is not going downhill because some people never learned to be self sufficient.
I have two old dogs and one cat. They have been with me for many years. They are wonderful animals but they cannot take care of themselves. They depend on me for everything. If I left them they would shortly die. My oldest dog recently needed hip surgery and I paid my veterinarian 15 hundred dollars to make my dog well again. I will do the same thing for all of my animals. The money is there for us all. But I will not give a dime to a person that never helped themselves by saving for a rainy day.
Most of the people that need free medical attention are elderly. They have no money to pay a health care provider and have to rely on Uncle Sam to pay the bills. My heart goes out to an elderly person who has no means of income and needs medical attention. But I must ask the question: Why have they not saved for this rainy day and where is their family? It is not fair that responsible hard working taxpayers have to foot the bill for people that want a free ride. Now that Uncle Sam is becoming short of cash those that depend on the freebies are going to wish that they have saved their money or have stayed close to their family. I wish them luck.

Post a CommentVery well written article!
I am with you 100% about not giving a penny to someone who was so irresponsible, they didn't save money. Soon, the government will again attempt to coerce the hard-working ants into supporting all the lazy grasshoppers. Well done!
Thankies for your comment on my medicaid article and as I can see from your article--things are rough all around! It just sucks! :(
