Medicinal Trees - Birch

The Birch tree, also known as cherry birch or black birch, is an aromatic and stimulant. These medicinal trees are useful for treating problems of the bowels, rheumatism, and gout and to expel worms from the body. The bark and small twigs of the trees are used.

A tea made from the bark of these medicinal trees makes a great mouth wash for canker sores and when taken internally, is great for treating diarrhea and dysentery. Its use is beneficial for kidney and bladder stones and blood purification. Taken either internally and/or externally, the tea is a wonderful remedy for boils and sores of all kinds.

The tea has a very nice, pleasant taste and can be consumed freely. It is also used in the making of root beer.

Medicinal Trees - Black Willow

The black willow tree, also known as the pussy willow, is another of the greatest medicinal trees. Both the bark and buds are used in medicinal preparations as an antiseptic and astringent.

A decoction of willow bark is among one of the best pain relievers made from any of the medicinal trees. It can be used to reduce fever, relieve pain of all kinds but especially joint pain, and to reduce swelling and inflammation.

The decoction of will bark is also used to treat sores in the mouth and as a gargle for a sore throat. This healing decoction is made by steeping two teaspoons of the dried bark in a cup of boiling water for two to three hours. Take a cup per day, a mouthful at a time.

Medicinal Trees - Butternut

The butternut tree, also known as lemon walnut, is one of the best medicinal trees in cases where a tonic or cathartic are needed. These medicinal trees are also used to make a wonderful laxative and will expel worms from the body.

These medicinal trees are great for treating chronic constipation, fevers, cold and the flu. The nuts from these medicinal trees are delicious and high in minerals. You can usually find butternut extract that should be taken two teaspoonfuls at a time stirred into one cup of water. This remedy can be taken once per day to treat any of the symptoms listed above.
