Medifast - a Diet Plan that Works!
This is a Review of the Medifast Diet Through the Take Shape for Life Program.
But with every promise to lose weight a couple questions have to be asked: Does it actually make you lose weight? Is it easy to keep the weight off or does it come back after you stop? Does the food taste good? Is it a plan that I can actually keep to? Well all of these questions are legitimate and all of them deserve an answer.
Many of my friends and I have tried many different diet plans and most of them don't work. Most of them make you lose weight the first week and then you gain it back as soon as you're done. But there is one that I myself have tried and witnessed many other people attempt to lose weight through and this is Medifast. Through take shape for life you are set up with a health coach and given a good diet plan. You can keep in constant contact with your health coach and receive the proper encouragement daily if necessary. They also have a nutritionist help line and customer service line in addition to your personal health coach. With all of this encouragement it's really hard to get off track and ditch the diet or start eating forbidden foods.
Well what kind of foods can you eat on this diet? Well, most of it is actually food that you buy from them and is eaten in a special meal plan, the most common being the 5&1. What this plan consists of is eating five meals of special Medifast foods every two to four hours and one meal that is "lean and green". The lean and green meal is basically any lean protein like chicken, fish or soy burgers and a big serving of healthy greens, most commonly lettuce. For the Medifast meals themselves there are many choices including brownies, shakes, pudding, soup, pretzels, cheese puffs, and more. Most of it is actually pretty good but the one meal I suggest to nobody is the oatmeal.
I know many people who have lost as many as ten pounds in one week and 20-56 pounds in the next three months. This diet has been tested and approved by clinical studies done by john Hopkins. More than 15,000 physicians throughout the nation have recommended Medifast products to their patients. In addition, Medifast has been shown to help people with diabetes. I personally know someone who is no longer taking three out of four of their medications and is always talking about how much better he feels.
Overall Medifast is a great diet with a great track record of working. For any more information about it or how to get in touch with a health coach visit www.thintogether.com .
