If you are feeling like trying something a little different for dinner you may want to go to a ethnic food supermarket. If you live in the Sacramento area there are lots of places you can go for various ethnic foods. If you are interested in trying some Mediterranean food then a good place in the Sacramento area to go to is the Mediterranean Market in the Arden-Arcade area.

The Mediterranean Market is located at 1547 Fulton Avenue in the Arden-Arcade section of Sacramento, California. As you may have guessed the Mediterranean Market has Mediterranean food. This is more adventurous a food destination because you are not getting it at a restaurant but to take home and prepare it yourself.

Since you will be making the food yourself it means that you will get the food cheaper. It also means you will be getting a home made meal which may or may not be better depending on how well you can cook something that is new to you.

Do not expect to make a meal here as cheap as you would at the regular grocery store. Sine this is a specialty food store you will pay a slight premium. There are plenty of food places in the area like Trader Joe's that you will spend more for specialty American food. Making a meal from food at the Mediterranean Market will not cost you much more then making food from the local supermarket so it is a pretty good deal.

The Mediterranean Market has lots of prepared foods so you will be able to at least have something to eat if you ruin your falafel. They also have lots of candies here that you will not find anywhere else which are fun to get one or two to try.

You can get all your typical Mediterranean fare here. If you are not familiar with Mediterranean food it is similar to Middle Eastern and Greek food. They have pitas, baklava, and falafel to name only a few. Many of these foods you can find at regular grocery stores but here you can get other foods you would not otherwise find.

If you want to try your hand at Mediterranean food then the Mediterranean Market is a great place to go.
