Meet the 2011 New Beetle

The Volkswagen New Beetle Looks like a Hot Rod

The 2011 New Beetle is an Eye Catcher!
As the owner of a 2001 New Beetle I was happy to see my bug being thought of...in 2005 I saw a flashy flattened down version of the New Beetle that resembled a hot rod. The designers at Volkswagen were looking to spice up the profile of the New Beetle that went into production in 1997. By 2010 the sales of the New Beetle had flattened out though I wonder whether the multiple financial crises around the world were the source of the plummeting sales of the New Beetle rather than the modest charm of the New Beetle.

The 2011 New Beetle features a flattened down profile...it sounds rude to say someone flattened out the New Beetle, but the new profile which makes the car 3.5 inches longer than the previous New Beetle greatly enhances the visibility of the product.

The Guts Remain Familiar
The 2011 New Beetle has three engines available that have been available for several years. The people at Volkswagen began offering a five cylinder engine about five years ago and that is still available in the 2011 New Beetle: it produces 170 horsepower. There is a 4 cylinder turbo engine that produces 200 horsepower. Additionally, you can choose a 140 horsepower diesel engine.

The 2011 New Beetle can be fitted with either a manual or an automatic transmission.

The Volkswagen 2011 New Beetle is being built in Puebla, Mexico isn't done being tweaked yet: a third generation of it is due to be available for purchase in 2017.

The 2011 Version is HOT!
Volkswagen aficionados will instantly notice the new profile of the 2011 New Beetle: it has a more upright windshield placement which is reminiscent of the original Volkswagen of the 1950s and 60s though the sleek and aerodynamic profile will instantly draw your minds eye to the classic lines of sports cars. The 2011 New Beetle has a wider wheel base than previous versions.

It is a TOTALLY drivable car! Go punch bugs!
