Although I know nothing about him personally, and after my fiasco trying to interview my husband, I'll just give you a few stats from his source page. Philip joined AC in July of 2006. He's a good ole Southern boy from Birmingham, Alabama, and has a little over 60,000 page views. He's written several books, and I believe he keeps pretty busy in his other professional endeavors as a freelancer in the corporate world. Although he writes very educational articles about giving speeches and other business matters, I figure his brain occasionally wanders off into la-la land, where he composes these wonderfully fun articles about all kinds of things. Maybe he just drinks. I don't know. Doesn't really matter.
For example, a recent article, Fishing Tips from Pathetic Land, is an article about his fishing abilities, or lack thereof. Since I'm more of a fishing kind of person than a catching kind of person, I totally identified with his frustrated attempts at mastering the art. However, I think I'm one up on Philip, because once I did manage to catch my hook in my arm.
Another article, Legislative Day for Students, speaks volumes on a lot of the problems we have with today's politicians. Philip says we're giving students the wrong idea by showing them Congress in action. Instead, what we should be teaching them lessons in rhetoric, personal economic advancement and how to always blame others for your mistakes. Wonderful stuff.
In How to be Truly Annoying, Philip lists 15 great ways to irritate and aggravate those around you. This is one of my favorites because he lists several driving techniques that I find come in handy when that guy behind me has been riding my bumper all over town. Of course, it might be Philip, and if it is, I think he owes me some money.
What Did My Doctor Say is a great list of comments that all of us definitely don't want to hear while in the office. Such as this wonderful one, "How ugly is your wife, Mr. Thomas? Viagra normally works for everyone."
Philip Theibert is a ridiculously talented and witty writer that I think many of you would enjoy. Well, that is if you like humor, which I assume you do since you're here. I recommend Philip Theibert's work, but if you're strapped for time and can only read one of us, don't go there. I can't afford to lose anybody.
